New GLOCK G49 MOS Introduced
TALO Distributors announced on November 8 the introduction of the GLOCK G49 MOS to the United States commercial market. The G49 MOS is the latest model in GLOCK's lineup of crossover models. It is similar to the popular GLOCK G45, but different.
The G49 MOS features a G19 size grip frame with a G17 size slide, so think of it as a short grip and longer slide. The smaller grip frame takes advantage of the proven carry frame size with a longer barrel and sight radius. The GLOCK model 49 pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger, holds 15+1 rounds in standard-capacity magazine capacity, has a 4.49-inch barrel, Gen 5 features, and the MOS system for mounting an optic.
Three runs of 1,000-gun batches have been produced and where shipped to distributors on October 16, 2023, prior to the announcement. The first run serial number prefix will be published in the GCA 2024 Master Journal.
