The GLOCK G21 and GLOCK G37 are rather like brothers. Similar in many aspects yet different . enough not to be twins. Which is really the better pistol? When the GLOCK G21 was released, the 10 mm cartridge was the latest rage and the big framed GLOCK took both the 10 mm and .45 ACP cartridges. High capacity magazines were also very important at the time. Unfortunately both of these I design features resulted in a pistol that was broad both in the slide and grip. Taking two rows of long cartridges made for a fat, long grip and getting a pistol that would take a large volume of high-pressure 10 mm ammo and survive meant the slide had to be strong which resulted in it being wide. Both features resulted in what can only be described as an awkward handling and carrying weapon. Still it was a .45 ACP pistol that did not weigh more than a Lightweight Commander and it held 14 rounds...
