Jeff Cooper's Legacy

Cooper continued to be a devotee of the 1911 until his death, however, he did praise other models at times, including the GLOCK, and he thought the .45 GAP was a good idea. Cooper was in favor of shortening cartridges that had excess· powder capacity, as it allowed a smaller action, thus making a pistol designed for such a cartridge suitable for smaller hands.
