GLOCK G43X Now With 15-Round Magazine

The internet chatter lately on GLOCKs has focused on the G43X being outfitted with a 15-round metal magazine. Lipsey's website is listing a GLOCK G43X and a G43X Aimpoint COA both with a 15-round magazine. That is not a typo.

We have heard from a reliable source that the metal magazine is a GLOCK made magazine. The design allows the use of the polymer magazine catch.  Supposedly, GLOCK will start shipping later this month. 

This is indeed an interesting development. We all remember Shield Arms popular DIY custom metal magazine that increased the G43X and G48 magazine capacity to 15 rounds. The Shield Arms magazine, however, require installation of a metal magazine catch.

At the Gen6 launch, which we attended, there was nothing said about updating GLOCK's single stack magazine pistols. Perhaps this is the update we have been waiting for?
